TFT Set 2 Overview

Teamfight Tactics set 2 is a complete overhaul of League of Legends dramatic auto battler. Rise of the Elements introduces a new set of champions, Origins, map altering elements, and increased board size. Resetting the TFT Ranked ladder, the latest set is predicted to stay around for at least the same time as set 1 lasted.

The game’s concept is exactly the same, 8-players will fight against each other through many stages to compete for first place. Utilizing gold strategies, unit selections, and placements to get the upper hand on your opponents.

TFT Elements

Every game the TFT map will be influenced by new elemental hexes that will provide units that occupy the hex bonuses depending on the element. Element buffs will take up an item space so units holding three items already will receive no benefits.

TFT Gameplay

Aside from the new elemental hexes, the overall gameplay is very similar to TFT set 1. Gold management is still important, players are still greeted with PvE creep rounds and the Carousel. Due to no longer having the Hextech Trait in set 2, you would expect unit positioning to become more standard once more. However, set 2 extends the map from three rows to fours which introduces a completely new dynamic regarding unit placements. You’ll need to get creative!
