Since the launch of TFT’s Rise of the Elements, the game has been all about finding the perfect champion to carry your team into victory. With low amounts of AoE crowd control in comparison to Set one and the removal of hard blocking Traits like Hextech, Set 2 enables single units to really shine!
Selecting your carry from the champion pool will be situational and primarily dependent on items, but there are a few champions that stand above the rest and can dominate most games. In our guide below we’ll be covering TFT’s Best 2 Cost Champions from Set 2 that can win your more games.
BEST TFT 2 COST CHAMPIONS SET 2
Most two cost champions in Teamfight Tactics Set 2, seriously lack the power to win you games alone. Mostly used as components to your team comp but never the carry. That being said, these are the most valuable two cost champions in Teamfight Tactics.
- Traits: Cloud – Blademaster
- Ability: Yasuo blinks to the enemy with the most items and knocks them up, holding them airborne for 1 second and hitting them, dealing basic attack damage and applying on-hit effects.
Another unit that formulated its way over from Set 1, costing less this time with a new traits! Being a Blademaster Yasuo fits into many team compositions that are currently in the meta either as a permanent unit or as a great item carrier/placeholder. Yasuo’s other trait, Cloud is utilized less in recent times. Itemizations, unfortunately, have done the trait no favors.
The Cloud Origin grants units a chance to Dodge, linked up with a Cloud board and the old Iceborn Gauntlet made Yasuo a potent 2-cost unit. However, Iceborn Gauntlet no longer creates a zone of ice on dodge but instead freezes the target after casting an ability. It’s now best to either employ him as an item carrier for your main late-game champion or to place no items on him at all. If you have the components spare a Bloodthirster wouldn’t hurt!

- Traits: Shadow – Soulbound
- Ability: Senna fires a beam through her furthest ally, dealing magic damage to enemies, and buffing allies’ on-hits for 5 seconds to deal bonus magic damage from Senna.
One of the most recent champions to enter Teamfight Tactics Set 2 and made an instant splash! Although we’ve seen the reliance of Shadow comps fall from grace, Light comps have been revived which Soulbound synergizes with perfectly. Utilizing husband Lucian, neither one can die without the other. In addition to Light’s healing, the adorable couple can be incredibly difficult to remove from the board.
Senna’s item choices vary due to her unique traits. In Light compositions Morellonomicon is super powerful, allowing her robust Light units to apply the % Max Hp and healing debuff to multiple enemies. To heartily embrace the wedded couple, make Senna a Light unit by using the Talisman of Light. In Shadow comps, items can be utilized extremely differently. Senna’s autos amplify by her Shadow buff, pairing with Jeweled Gauntlet and Infinity Edge will make your shadow army explosive!

- Traits: Ocean – Mage
- Ability: Syndra conjures a sphere of water near a random enemy that explodes dealing magic damage to all enemies hit.
For a two cost unit, Syndra offers great utility and functionality. Her traits allow her to carry the early game; you can pick up both the Mage and Ocean bonuses in the opening rounds. Vladimir, Syndra and Taliyah/Leblanc will secure the two trait bonuses right away providing you a great foundation to transition into common meta compositions like Ocean Mage or Ocean Wardens.
Once again it’s unlikely you’ll want to stack items on any 2-cost unit in Teamfight Tactics Set 2, however, you can’t go wrong with items like Morellonomicon, Jeweled Gauntlet or Luden’s Echo on Syndra.
